Ikebukuro is one of my favorite spots in Tokyo. For a foodie and a nerd like me, I can find plenty of things to keep myself occupied. A personal favorite dessert spot of my wife and I is a place called “Milky Way Café.” Items on their dessert menu hold names of constellations and items on the menu appear to change every now and then which is nice for people who enjoy trying new things, but possibly unfortunate for those who like to order the same item every time. Milky Way Café is just a short walk from the east exit of the Ikebukuro Station. It’s located on the 2nd floor of this building seen here.
And here is a map from the station to Milk Way Café. If you’re familiar with the area, from the train station you’re basically starting from the Seibu and Parco shopping centers then you head east towards Tokyu Hands/Sunshine City where there is a road with plenty of video arcades. If you get lost, locals can probably point you towards the direction of Tokyu Hands. If you’ve reached Tokyu Hands, you’ve gone too far.
